Community Conversation on Common Core and SBA

The Equity in Education Coalition and Community and Parents for Public Schools of Seattle invite you to an informative community conversation on the Common Core State Standards and the Smarter Balanced Assessments on April 27.

Monday, April 27th from 6 – 8 pm.

African American Museum in Seattle

You will hear from a panel that includes:

Isabel Munoz-Colon, Executive Committee Chair at the State Board of Education and a Policy Advisor for the City of Seattle’s Office of Education
Robin Munson, Assistant Superintendent of Assessment and Student Information from Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction
Cara Haney a teacher in the Kent School District
Jessica Vavrus, Assistant Superintendent, Teaching and Learning at the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction
Eric M. Anderson, Ph.D., Director, Research, Evaluation & Assessment at Seattle Public Schools
Space is limited and on a first come first serve basis.

We hope this will be the first of  many community conversations on Common Core and the Smarter Balanced Assessments.
