Community Forum on Juvenile Justice

November 17, 2017 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm

Some words on a page

Washington State Rehabilitation Administration (RA) received a Planning Grant from the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) to support the development of a Statewide Juvenile Justice System Improvement Plan on improving both public safety and outcomes for youth.  The goal of the strategic plan focuses on system improvements that will reduce the number of youth, particularly youth of color, who enter the juvenile justice system for status and low-level offenses.  Through the planning process, the Office of Juvenile Justice brings together law enforcement, schools, communities of color, and juvenile justice stakeholders to develop a long-range statewide strategic plan.  The Community Forum is one of many ways we engage, leverage and elevate community, youth and family’s voices in this process.
