What information do we collect?
We collect information from you when you subscribe to our emails or texts, respond to a survey, or fill out a form.
Information that you may choose to give us includes your name, address, email address, phone number, credit card information, and other information about your interests and preferences. We may obtain information from outside sources and add it to or combine it with the information we collect through this site.
What do we use your information for?
We use this information to operate this site, to send you news and information about the Equity in Education Center and the issues that we work on, to acknowledge those who provide support for the Equity in Education Center, to personalize your experience, and for other purposes in support of our mission.
Opt-Out Options:
Email Opt-Out: You can opt-out of our email list at any time, and simple instructions on how to remove yourself will be included in any e-mail you receive.
SMS Opt-Out: If you are receiving text messages from us and wish to stop receiving them, respond with either “STOP” or “UNSUBSCRIBE” to the number from which you received the message. Once we receive your message, you will no longer receive further text messages from us.
The Equity in Education Center will send you four text messages per month on average. For help, text HELP or email info@eec-wa.org. Text STOP to opt-out of text messages. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
How do we protect your information?
We offer the use of a secure server. All supplied sensitive/credit information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our Payment gateway providers database only to be accessible by those authorized with special access rights to such systems, who are required to keep the information confidential.
After a transaction, your private information (credit cards, social security numbers, financials, etc.) will not be stored on our servers.
Do we disclose any information to outside parties?
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others’ rights, property, or safety. However, non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses.
Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third party.
